The Spurs and Belgium defensive duo had an easy night as the Red Devils beat Scotland 3-0 in Euro 2020 qualifying.

Tottenham Hotspur duo Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen were in international action on Tuesday evening as Belgium ran out 3-0 winners over Scotland in their Euro 2020 qualifying clash at the King Baudouin Stadium.
The Spurs defenders did not exactly have the hardest day at the office for their country as the visitors could only muster two shots on target, four overall, less than 30 percent possession and not a single corner (BBC Sport).
Roberto Martinez’s charges preserved their 100 percent record in Group I as Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku scored either side of the break in Brussels and Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne added a third for the hosts in stoppage time.
As for Scotland, they find themselves fourth in the group, three points adrift of Russia in the second automatic qualification place, but they have already secured a Nations League playoff semi-final should they fail to finish in the top two.
Tottenham’s official Twitter feed congratulated Alderweireld and Vertonghen for a job well done in Brussels:
