Tottenham fans slaughter club legend Ledley King’s tweet

Tottenham Hotspur were dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Chelsea last night.

Ledley King took to Twitter in the aftermath of Tottenham’s defeat to Chelsea on penalties in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final clash last night, insisting that his former club have a bright future ahead of them, and many Spurs fans responded to the club legend.

Tottenham have come on leaps and bounds since Mauricio Pochettino took over in 2014, but they are still yet to win a trophy under the Argentine’s reign.

In fact, Spurs have not won a trophy since their League Cup triumph in 2008, and their fans are beginning to grow impatient.

They want Daniel Levy to splash the cash to make them more competitive, but as things stand, it seems as though the Lilywhites could go two consecutive transfer windows without making a single signing.

Ledley King drew on the positives, however, after yesterday’s semi-final cup exit, highlighting how he believes that this Tottenham side are very close to achieving something special:
