Tottenham fans on Twitter were fuming at Sky Sports commentator Martin Tyler for constantly talking about Mauricio Pochettino and Manchester United during their 6-2 win at Everton on Sunday.

Following Jose Mourinho’s departure from Old Trafford last Tuesday, former player Gary Neville told Sky Sports that Pochettino would be the ‘perfect fit’ for the Manchester club.

Added with that, The Telegraph previously reported that United want Pochettino to be their number one target after they appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on an interim basis until the end of the season.

During Spurs’ emphatic win at Goodison Park, lead commentator Tyler and co-commentator Neville were heavily criticised for continually mentioning United and Pochettino rather than focusing on the match.

The north London club, who are now two points behind second-placed Manchester City in the Premier League table, scored three goals in either side of the break against Marco Silva’s men.

Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane netted braces, whilst Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen also got on the scoresheet for the Premier League title challengers.

Despite an emphatic week for Pochettino and his team, which also saw them knock rivals Arsenal out of the Carabao Cup, the Tottenham supporters were annoyed at Tyler for not doing his job properly.

One fan stated on Twitter that Tyler has ‘barely gone a minute without talking about Pochettino’ as he urged him to do his job and commentate on the game.

Another supporter stated that it was ‘unreal’ the number of times the Sky Sports broadcaster mentioned Pochettino and United during the game.

Whilst others labelled both Neville and Tyler a ‘disgrace’ for their commentary.
