Arsenal fan anger boiled over at times during and after their game against Manchester City.

Arsenal fought back against Manchester City yesterday to claim a draw, but the game at The Emirates was certainly not dull.

The encounter also saw action off the pitch, with Arsenal supporters fighting among themselves, video courtesy of Arsenal Fan TV.

There were also angry diatribes as always on the fan channel after the result, while another source [Tweeting Arsenal] captured fans rowing and threatening to turn violent after the match outside The Emirates.

The Gunners are down in sixth place – 18 points behind leaders Chelsea.

They are also 11 back from rivals Tottenham, a big number to overcome with eight games remaining. Mind the gap indeed.

Arsenal have never finished below Spurs during the Arsene Wenger era which spans two decades, and the fanbase is split on whether the manager should quit, be sacked, or remain to try and turn their fortunes round.

Tottenham are in contrast a club in a comparatively tranquil environment.

There is plenty to work on and improve upon, but fans are generally content, and excited about their future prospects, even with a testing season at Wembley coming up.

This is time for optimism, and the landmark of finishing above Arsenal looks once again in their grasp, although fans know from previous setbacks not to count their chickens.

It is the behaviour of the disgruntled Arsenal fans as well as the results which had Spurs supporters crowing on Sunday.
