Liverpool have finally done it. The Reds’ 30-year wait for the Premier League title is now over, and everybody associated with the squad deserves a ton of credit.

It wasn’t too long ago when Liverpool were just another side in the top six. The Reds were nowhere near as formidable as they now are but Jurgen Klopp’s appointment changed everything.

The German is arguably the biggest reason why Liverpool are where they are at the moment. However, Liverpool’s board deserve more credit for sticking with Klopp during the tough times, even when the Reds lost two European finals.

The same cannot be said of many other teams. Let’s take Tottenham for example. Spurs were on the same level as Liverpool a few years ago, maybe even better than the Reds.

They had a fantastic manager in Mauricio Pochettino, who guided the side from being Europa League regulars to Champions League finalists with limited backing from the board.

A poor start to the league this season cost Pochettino his job. Things could have been very different had Daniel Levy backed the Argentine over the years in the same way as Klopp was at Liverpool.

Could Spurs have been in Liverpool’s position now if Pochettino got all the support from his board? It is difficult to argue that, and Spurs fans can only sit and wonder how different things could have been.

Liverpool’s title celebration last night certainly riled up a few Spurs fans. Some of them felt that this moment should have been theirs and the resultant anger was directed at one man – Daniel Levy.

Here’s how a few Tottenham supporters reacted on Twitter.
