However, a public admission of personal hang ups with Spurs (ESPN) saw him fall out of favour, before a knee injury lengthened his stint on the side-lines, while teammate Ben Davis assumed the role of first-team left-back.
Rose was subjected to a fair amount of criticism for his words this year, but Tottenham fans have now come together in support of the player after his latest revelation, with many taking to Twitter to commend his bravery.
