One year ago this week former Tottenham and Newcastle star Jermaine Jenas criticised Moussa Sissoko.

There is a saying that one year is a long time in football, but in the case of Moussa Sissoko not much has really changed.
He switched clubs in the summer, but in each of March 2016 and March 2017 he finds himself under big pressure.
Exactly one week ago last year the Frenchman was blasted by former Newcastle star Jermaine Jenas after a limp performance in the North East derby.
He told Yahoo Sports: “One of the biggest disappointments for me in the derby, and for this whole season in fact, was the form of Moussa Sissoko.
“Last season he was Newcastle’s main man and he was being linked with some very big clubs in the summer. But against Sunderland he just looked totally lost.”

Sissoko did recover his form, but not at Newcastle. Instead over a brief high profile spell for France at Euro 2016.
It was enough for Tottenham to surprisingly splurge big money on his signature on transfer deadline day, and Sissoko has reverted to his Newcastle form.
Sissoko is now reportedly seeking an exit, French newspaper L’Equipe report, after losing his place in the French national squad.
