Tottenham fans respond to Martial’s miserable looking Instagram photo

Anthony Martial is reportedly Tottenham’s top target this summer.

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is Tottenham Hotspur’s top summer target, according to The Telegraph.

Their hopes of landing him remain very much in the balance, with United reluctant to let him go.

But he has just two years remaining on his deal and a decline in playing time since Alexis Sanchez’s mid-season arrival led to Martial missing out on France’s World Cup squad.

You can’t blame Martial for being unhappy, and his latest Instagram photo shows a player looking more miserable than United fans would like to see.

Martial’s less than happy stance was picked up on by his many Instagram followers.

Tottenham Hotspur fans were among those responding, urging him to sign for the North London club to save his career.

Martial scored a winner past Tottenham last season at Old Trafford and fans are all too aware of how dangerous he can be.

Signing him would be a coup, although it would probably involve them losing defender Toby Alderweireld as part of any transfer, with United keen on the wantaway centre-back.

Red Devils fans are not so pleased with the trajectory of Martial’s career, but want him to stay and fight to try and turn it around.

Martial will be using this summer to take stock of his future and the World Cup will be tough for him to watch.

Even if he does not leave this year, what happens over the next 12 months at United will be pivotal for his future.
