Several Tottenham Hotspur fans are delighted to see Erik Lamela back in training.
A number of Tottenham fans could not help but express their excitement on Twitter after Erik Lamela posted a picture of himself back in training following a recent hamstring injury which ruled him out of Spurs’ last two games.
The Argentinian made his first appearance of the season in Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s clash with Fulham in August. Lamela provided an assist as Spurs won 3-1 against the Premier League newbies.
He was set to begin Tottenham’s game with Manchester United on the bench, but the club were forced into a last minute change with the attacking midfielder sustaining a hamstring injury in the warm-up at Old Trafford.
It did not hurt Spurs against Jose Mourinho’s men as they went on to win 3-0. But Tottenham’s flawless run would come to an end in their next game as they were beaten away at Watford.
And that is perhaps why Lamela’s return to training – which the 26-year-old has commented on on social media – has been met by a very positive reaction.
Lamela has not always been popular with the supporters, but there are a number who clearly feel that having him back in the ranks is a major boost ahead of what promises to be a very tough home clash with Liverpool.
