Just like the Tottenham first team, the Spurs Under-23s are going through a bit of a rough patch right now.

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the Spurs Under-23s falling to defeat against Leicester’s U23s in the Premier League 2 at the Lamex Stadium on Friday night.
A Tottenham side missing several key players – no Troy Parrott, Japhet Tanganga, Harvey White, Jamie Bowden or Brandon Austin involved – were hoping to build on their penalty shootout victory against Colchester United in the EFL Trophy last time out.
However, Spurs were put to the sword as second-half goals from Callum Wright and George Hirst saw Wayne Burnett’s charges fall to their third consecutive Premier League 2 defeat, as well as being without a win in their last six in the division.
With the first team having a bad time of things at present, Friday night’s result proved yet another bitter pill to swallow for the Tottenham faithful, who just can’t seem to catch a break at the minute.
Here’s some of the social media reaction:
Spurs’ Under-18s are in derby action on Saturday morning against Arsenal (London Colney, 11am kickoff), while the first team takes on Watford at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at 3pm.
