Tottenham Hotspur lost 3-1 at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

Tottenham Hotspur suffered a shock home defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon, put an early dent in any title hopes.
Spurs had been in fine form heading into Saturday’s game, and could have moved three points behind Liverpool before the Reds faced Arsenal at Anfield.
It all started so well for Spurs; Harry Kane rifled the hosts into a 1-0 lead at Wembley, smashing his left-footed drive past Rui Patricio and into the top corner of the net.
However, Spurs faded in the second half, and capitulated late on as Willy Boly, Raul Jimenez and Helder Costa all scored to give Wolves a 3-1 win.
Tottenham fans were left stunned by the late collapse, and with Liverpool beating Arsenal later on Saturday, Spurs are now nine points off top spot.
Any suggestion of a title challenged appears to have died early, and fans have been taking to Twitter to blast some of the Spurs players – notably Kieran Trippier.

The right back came back into the Spurs side after Kyle Walker-Peters starred in the 5-0 win over Bournemouth on Boxing Day, and it’s fair to say he didn’t impress.
Fans took to Twitter to suggest that Trippier is a liability after a dismal showing in which he continued to give the ball away, adding that he is stealing a living and should not be playing for Spurs, with some desperate for him to move on elsewhere.
