Wilfried Zaha was linked to Tottenham Hotspur for most of the summer.

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter are raving about Wilfried Zaha’s performance today.
Heavily linked with Tottenham during the summer transfer window, the Crystal Palace winger scored in this afternoon’s defeat by Watford at Vicarage Road.
Spurs reportedly ended their pursuit of the 25-year-old when Palace slapped a £70 million price-tag on his head [The Standard], before the player himself signed a five-year extension.
But some fans of the North London club believe that their side should have taken the hit and went for him nonetheless.
It did, however, take Zaha a bit of time to grow into the game, and by the same token there were Tottenham fans who claimed that Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy dodged a pretty big budget over what would’ve been a record signing.
Nevertheless, Spurs don’t seem to be missing him so far, as Pochettino’s side go to Old Trafford tomorrow night knowing that victory would give them a third successive Premier League win.
Lucas Moura is particularly dazzling in a role that Zaha would have occupied had he joined, so perhaps the Brazilian’s form is a welcome bonus of the botched transfer.
