Tottenham Hotspur ace Son Heung-min really felt the pain of Watford’s opening goal.
Tottenham Hotspur’s unconvincing start to the season continued on Saturday afternoon, as they could only draw 1-1 at home with Watford.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men have been hugely disappointing so far this season, and fans were hoping for a response having gone into the international break off the back of a 3-0 away defeat at Brighton and Hove Albion.
However, Spurs looked off-colour again on Saturday, and fell behind early to a winless Watford side as Daryl Janmaat crossed for Abdoulaye Doucoure to slot home the opener.
Tottenham battled away without really impressing, but did find the equaliser as Dele Alli forced an error from Ben Foster, and scored into the empty net to give Spurs a share of the spoils.
Fans still aren’t exactly happy with Tottenham’s performances this season, which isn’t a great surprise, and it’s hitting Spurs players hard too.
A video has emerged of attacker Son Heung-min on the bench in the first half, and he showed his frustration at seeing his side go a goal down early on, noticeable swearing in a passionate reaction.
Even as a substitute, Son was living and breathing every second of the game, and so nearly made an instant impact when he was introduced, smashing the woodwork with a fine effort.
Fans have been reacting to the video, suggesting that not only do they love Son, but also feel that Spurs would be in a much better position if every player cared as much as Son clearly does.
Others touted the South Korean as a potential captain, but there were growing fears from a few fans that Son will end up leaving the club in the near future if Tottenham’s form doesn’t improve, as the poor results are clearly upsetting him.
