Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the Lazio ace.

According to a report from Italian publication Calcio Mercato, Tottenham are interested in signing Lazio stopper Thomas Strakosha as a long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris, and some Spurs fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

The 32-year-old Frenchman has received criticism for his performances for Tottenham this season, although he has been brilliant in their last two games against Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund respectively.

Lloris can obviously not go on forever, however, and the addition of someone like Strakosha, 23, could be shrewd business form Spurs.

The Albanian goalkeeper is valued at around €30 million (£25.8 million), according to Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, and in today’s day and age, that would surely have to be considered as a fair price for Tottenham to pay for his services.

Some Spurs fans don’t seem to be convinced, however, highlighting how they already have Paulo Gazzaniga at the club.

The Argentine has proven his class when playing for Tottenham this season, and should Muairico Pochettino bring in another goalkeeper in the summer, the Spurs number 2 would surely have to consider his future in north London.
