Tanguy Ndombele has hinted he’d be interested in joining Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of midfielders is dominating headlines at the moment, and Lyon star Tanguy Ndombele is at the centre of many of the stories.
Spurs will surely make moves in the transfer market this summer after nearly 18 months without a signing, and a new midfielder is key after letting Mousa Dembele go in January.
Finding a player with the same drive through midfield and quality on the ball as Dembele would be ideal, and Lyon star Ndombele fits the bill perfectly.
The 22-year-old has been a sensation with Lyon since arriving from Amiens in 2017, and his performances have attracted interest from all over Europe as a result.
Spurs have made Ndombele a top target this summer, and the London Evening Standard claim that Tottenham are confident of striking a deal, with hope that they can tempt him into a move.
On Sunday, Ndombele spoke to Telefoot back in his native France, and when asked about joining Spurs, he suggested that Tottenham are a ‘big club’, and any player would love to play for a big club like Tottenham, hinting that he’s interested in joining.

Unsurprisingly, the comments sparked a huge reaction with Spurs fans on Twitter. Some are taking the more pessimistic angle, believing that it’s the hope that kills you after such encouraging comments, with some even feeling that he’s just waiting for bigger offers.
Many fans are urging Tottenham to do a deal immediately though, feeling that Ndombele is begging to join Spurs by making such comments, and think there’s simply no more excuses for chairman Daniel Levy if he can’t bringing Ndombele to the club having made it clear he’s interested.
