Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-season preparations came to an end on Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 defeat at Watford.
Spurs made the short trip to Vicarage Road on Saturday, and were 2-0 down as Domingos Quina and Andre Gray found the net.
Son Heung-min pulled one back from the penalty spot, but Tottenham fell to a defeat ahead of next weekend’s Premier League opener against Everton.
Jose Mourinho maybe won’t be too disheartened given that he was missing a number of players due to international duty, and he can welcome them back against Everton.
There wasn’t too much to shout about against Watford, but one moment from Son caught the eye – and it wasn’t his goal.
With Paulo Gazzaniga up the pitch chasing a goal, Watford’s Marc Navarro had an empty to goal to shoot at, aiming to give Watford a 3-1 win.

However, as the ball trickled towards the goal, Son raced back to clear the ball of the line in the 92nd minute, showing unbelievable desire, stamina and fitness.
Fans know all about Son’s hard-working style, but many took to Twitter to appreciate this moment in particular, branding it ‘brilliant’ and indicative of Son’s ‘great attitude’.
Others think that Son is a classic Mourinho player thanks to that effort and work rate, and believe that he is now Tottenham’s best player, even more important than Harry Kane.
