Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly be offered the Real Madrid star in exchange for Christian Eriksen.

According to a report from the Independent, Real Madrid could offer James Rodriguez to Tottenham as part of a potential deal that would see Christian Eriksen move the other way, and some Spurs fans took to Twitter in response to the speculation.
Eriksen’s contract with Tottenham is set to expire in the summer of 2020, so unless he agrees a new deal soon, he might just be on his way out of north London.
Mauricio Pochettino would obviously have to replace the Dane if he does eventually leave Spurs, but with a limited budget, that will be easier said than done.
According to a report from the Independent, however, Madrid could send Rodriguez, 27, to Spurs as part of a potential deal for Eriksen, 26.

The Colombian is one of the finest play-makers in world football, and despite being notoriously hard to work with and motivate, his superstar profile and image could be a massive plus for Tottenham both on and off the pitch.
