Tottenham Hotspur got back to winning ways on Sunday evening as they hammered Sheffield United 4-0 at home.
Spurs lost the Carabao Cup final to Manchester City last weekend, and needed to hit back in the Premier League with a top four finish still possible.
They were comfortable against the already-relegated Blades, with Gareth Bale opening the scoring the first half with a smart finish from Serge Aurier’s pass.
Bale added a second on the break, and then fired home another to complete his hat-trick from another Aurier assist, with Son adding gloss to the victory.
Spurs sit just five points off the Champions League places, and whilst they are running out of games to make up the difference, Ryan Mason will still have hope.
Bale stole the show with his hat-trick, but it’s hard to ignore the performance of Aurier, who turned in a fine display even outside of his two assists.

The Ivorian has had his detractors at Tottenham, mostly due to his defensive issues more than anything else, but fans have been taking to Twitter to rave about him.
Some called him ‘unplayable’ and ‘fantastic’, offering up huge praise give that he is currently fasting during Ramadan.
Others believe Aurier had his best game for Spurs last night, believing that he was rivalling Bale for man of the match.
