Tottenham Hotspur got back to winning ways as they secured an emphatic victory in the Premier League.
Tottenham fans have been reacting on Twitter after watching Serge Aurier’s performance during their emphatic victory over Bournemouth, and it appears that the supporters do not know what to make of the defender’s contribution.
After the heartbreaking defeat to Juventus in midweek, Spurs would have been hoping to get back to winning ways when they travelled to the Vitality Stadium to face Eddie Howe’s side.
However, it was Bournemouth who took the lead early on through Junior Stanislas. But the goal would seemingly prove to be the catalyst that Mauricio Pochettino’s men needed as they went on to score four times to bag the three points.
Aurier was the man to score Spurs’ fourth while it was also his cross that allowed Dele Alli to bag Tottenham’s equaliser during the first-half. Nevertheless, the 25-year-old’s display attracted a mixed reaction.
Some were impressed by the Ivory Coast international’s performance and felt that it was an improvement on some of the displays that he has put in during his time in the Premier League. However, he certainly did not win all of his critics over.
There were some mistakes from the former Paris Saint-Germain full-back – including another foul throw – and some are yet to be convinced that he is good enough to fill the void that Kyle Walker left behind in the summer.
