Tottenham Hotspur fans were impressed by Ryan Bertrand’s assist days after being linked with the Southampton star.

Tottenham fans took to Twitter to laud Ryan Bertrand after the Southampton full-back produced a stunning assist during the Saints’ clash with Chelsea – just days after Spurs were linked with a summer move for the defender.

At the moment, it certainly appears that relegation to the Championship may be on the cards for the Saints despite their stunning start to their clash with Chelsea on Saturday.
Goals from Dusan Tadic and Jan Bednarek gave the home side a 2-0 lead inside the hour, but three goals in eight minutes for the visitors saw Antonio Conte’s men steal the three points and ultimately help leave Southampton five points adrift of safety with five games to go.

While the south coast club may be closer to the top flight exit, there are a number of players within their squad that are likely to attract attention in the summer – with Bertrand clearly being one of those being eyed by their rivals. And the Spurs fans were certainly impressed by the England international’s moment of brilliance that set up the game’s opener.
Bertrand superbly got down the line before cutting the ball back for Tadic, and the Tottenham supporters were quick to praise the work done by the defender, seemingly giving Mauricio Pochettino’s potential summer approach their approval.
