Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want to sign Jota after scouting him last week.

The Telegraph has reported that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Benfica wonderkid Jota.
Spurs scouted the 19-year-old in last Thursday’s Europa League win over Dinamo Zagreb.
The Portuguese gem has broken into Benfica’s senior side since the turn of the year and The Telegraph reported that he would cost Tottenham – or any side – £25 million if he leaves this summer.
Here is how some fans of the North London reacted to the rumour:
According to the same publication, Liverpool and Arsenal are also monitoring the star, meaning that finishing in the top four could be crucial in deciding who gets him.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are third, one point above the Gunners in fourth, but both North London outfits are far from guaranteed to be playing Champions League football come September.
Signing Jota – out of contract in Portugal in 2022 – this summer is also important to avoid paying a huge fee down the line, with A Bola reporting that Benfica want to tie him down to a new deal which would include a £85 million release clause.
