Tottenham Hotspur came face to face with an alleged target this weekend.

As reported by the London Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a close eye on Watford winger Richarlison, who signed for the Hornets for £11.5million last summer (Guardian), and the 20-year-old came face-to-face with Mauricio Pochettino’s side on Saturday afternoon.
Spurs headed into the clash knowing they needed a victory after a run of just one point from their previous three matches. However they could only manage a 1-1 draw against Marco Silva’s side, with Heung-min Son cancelling out Christian Kabasele’s early opener and Davinson Sanchez seeing red for the visitors.
It was another hammer blow for a Tottenham side that is seeing their title challenge fall by the wayside in alarming fashion, with the hectic Christmas and New Year fixtures only going to make things tougher for side watching the Manchester clubs march into the distance.
Richarlison’s biggest impact was when his coming together with Sanchez saw the Colombian shown a red card for an elbow and, from then on, Tottenham were focused on maintaining a point rather than snatching all three.
That moment certainly had some Tottenham fans fuming but there is no doubt the Watford man would be a fine addition to their squad if their chairman Daniel Levy can ultimately convince the Hornets to part company with the youngster.
