Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly sent scouts to have a look at Mathias Jensen.
Tottenham fans have been reacting to the reports coming from Danish outlet BT recently which have suggested that Spurs have been keeping an eye on Nordsjaelland midfielder Mathias Jensen.
Mauricio Pochettino has an incredible track record for uncovering young prospects and turning them into absolute gems, while he also has a very impressive record when it comes to helping established players reach another level.
One of those players that have found another gear under Pochettino is, without doubt, Christian Eriksen, with the Dane scoring nine and providing nine assists in the Premier League this season.
And with BT reporting that Spurs sent scouts to watch Jensen in action, it appears that Tottenham are hoping that they may have just stumbled across the next Eriksen as it is not particularly difficult to draw parallels between the two players.
Of course, they are both Danes, and BT reports that Ajax, the club who sold Eriksen to Spurs, are keen to sign the 22-year-old, who is also a playmaker and has scored nine league goals – the same tally that Eriksen boasts in the Premier League this term.
Unsurprisingly therefore, some Tottenham fans are expressing their optimism that the club may have found another star in the making, while those who have seen Jensen a little more are definitely excited about his potential.
