Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to extend Erik Lamela’s contract.

Plenty of Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter aren’t crazy about the latest rumour regarding Erik Lamela.
According to The Independent, Tottenham plan on triggering Lamela’s one-year contract extension which, if finalised, would see him contracted to Spurs until 2020.
The Argentine attacker hasn’t scored in any of his 21 Premier League outings this season, managing only two assists.
He missed the first few months of the campaign due to a hip injury which kept him sidelined for over a year in total.

And Tottenham fans on Twitter don’t seem keen on the idea of seeing Mauricio Pochettino extend his contract.
Here is some of the reaction to the rumour:
Lamela hasn’t been a roaring success since his £27 million move from Roma in 2013.
Since then, the Argentina international has only managed eight goals and 20 assists across 108 top-flight games for the Lilywhites and you can understand why some supporters are reluctant to see him stay.
