Gonzalo Higuain could potentially line up against Tottenham Hotspur this week.

Tottenham Hotspur resume their League Cup semi-final with Chelsea on Thursday – and a very well-known figure could come up against Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Gonzalo Higuain is closing in on a loan move to the Stamford Bridge club [Sky Sports].
This is a player who heavily contributed to Tottenham’s Champions League exit last season, having scored three of Juventus’ four goals in Spurs’ last-16 defeat over two legs.
And the bad news is that he could potentially face the North Londoners again this week.
According to The Evening Standard, Higuain will be eligible to play Thursday’s second leg if his transfer to Chelsea is ratified by the Premier League before 12pm on Wednesday.
And suffice to say that Tottenham fans on Twitter, whose side lead 1-0 in the tie, aren’t all that happy about it.
The Lilywhites haven’t won a trophy since winning this competition back in 2008, and this represents easily their best shot at silverware this season.
With Harry Kane and potentially Dele Alli out, the Blues will be favourites to advance into the final despite the one-goal deficit, and there’ll be uproar if Higuain winds up knocking them out.
