Mauricio Pochettino effectively confirmed a big blow for Tottenham Hotspur today.

The Spurs boss ruled Moussa Sissoko out of tomorrow’s visit of Brighton & Hove Albion [Football London], but that isn’t the worst part.

Pochettino added that Sissoko – who has a groin injury – would likely miss the next two weeks and with Ajax visiting North London next Tuesday for the first leg of a Champions League semi final, it’s a big worry.

The Lilywhites will already be without the injured Harry Kane and the suspended Son Heung-min for the visit of the Dutch giants, so Sissoko’s probable absence is a major bit of bad news, if it materialises.

Here’s how Tottenham fans reacted:

If you had to pick Spurs’ three best players this season, it would probably be Sissoko, Son and Kane.

To miss all three could be detrimental for their hopes of reaching the Champions League final – the first in their history – but if this season has taught us anything, it’s that you simply can’t write off Pochettino’s side, no matter the adversity.
