Tottenham Hotspur went back to the top of the Premier League table on Sunday evening with a 0-0 draw at Chelsea.

Spurs went into the game knowing that even a point would see them leapfrog Liverpool, but they looked dangerous on the break in the first half.

Jose Mourinho’s side tightened up after the break and seemed to settle for a point, frustrating Chelsea as the game ended in stalemate.

That meant Spurs did indeed return to top spot in the Premier League, and Mourinho will be pleased with the battling display even if Tottenham weren’t particularly adventurous going forward.

It was another clean sheet for Spurs though, and whilst Joe Rodon played a key role in his first start, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was outstanding once again.

The Dane has earned huge plaudits for his play in front of the Tottenham back four since signing from Southampton, doing a lot of the dirty work that often goes unnoticed.

Hojbjerg was it again on Sunday, but there was one moment that caught the eye. He shepherded a loose ball all the way back to goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, and was seen celebrating that… somewhat unimpressive feat.

Still, Spurs fans took to Twitter to admit they love Hojbjerg, praising him for his passion and wearing his heart on his sleeve.

Others felt that Hojbjerg showed the mentality that Tottenham need, praising him as a 10/10 signing having become one of Mourinho’s leading lieutenants.
