Tottenham’s Under-18’s were in action at the club’s new stadium today.

Tottenham Hotspur fans were treated to a first glimpse at an actual match taking place at their new stadium this afternoon, with the club’s Under-18’s in action.
Spurs fans have had to put up with delay after delay with their new stadium, saying at Wembley around seven months later than planned.
Now though, the new stadium is close to being properly opened, but today’s Under-18’s clash with Southampton was viewed as a great test event.
Spurs fans flocked to the new stadium to truly bask in its glory, but they also witnessed a superb 3-1 victory over their Southampton counterparts today.
J’Neil Bennett made history by scoring the opening goal at the new stadium, before Harvey White scored from the penalty spot to make it 2-0 to Spurs.
Kornelius Hansen pulled one back for Southampton, but Spurs restored their 3-1 lead thanks to Dilan Markanday, securing a 3-1 win.

The biggest name in the Spurs side was midfielder Oliver Skipp, who has been featuring in the first team for Mauricio Pochettino this season, and his quality was clear to see.
Spurs fans took to Twitter to rave about Skipp, suggesting that the 18-year-old was operating on a different level to his teammates and looked a class apart, praising him as ‘quality’.
