Tottenham Hotspur and West Bromwich Albion went head-to-head this weekend.
West Bromwich Albion winger Nacer Chadli returned to his former club Tottenham Hotspur this weekend, but it was not a happy reunion.
Spurs ran out 4-0 winners courtesy of a Harry Kane hat-trick and an own goal from Gareth McAuley, continuing the North London club’s impressive scoring run and ensuring they maintained second spot in the table.
Chadli moved to The Hawthorns from White Hart Lane last summer and he hit the ground running at West Brom, scoring regularly and looking like he would prove Tottenham wrong for getting rid of him so soon.
However, injury and subsequent surgery have curtailed his progress and he has a lot of work to do to get back to his best at the Baggies.
Against Tottenham he could not inspire his side to get a shot on target, let alone a goal, and he was replaced shortly after the hour-mark.
