Nabil Bentaleb spent five years on the books at Tottenham Hotspur.

Schalke confirmed on their official Twitter account today that former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has been dropped for ‘disciplinary reasons’.
Bentaleb, who joined the Bundesliga side from Tottenham in 2017, has been exiled to the German club’s Under-23 side until further notice.
No further information was given, but the Algeria midfielder was rumoured to have had attitude issues during his time in North London.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino banished him from the first team shortly before his original loan to Schalke in the summer of 2016.
Here’s how Tottenham fans responded to his current situation.
Bentaleb admitted to The Independent in February that he had some arguments with Pochettino during his time with the Lilywhites, also confessing that he regrets his behaviour at the Premier League club.
The 24-year-old, who was on Spurs’ books for five years overall, played in the 7-0 mauling by Manchester City in the Champions League in midweek.
