Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering selling Mousa Dembele during the summer as his contract situation rumbles on.

Tottenham fans have been reacting on Twitter to the reports that recently emerged from the Daily Mirror which suggested that Spurs could consider selling Mousa Dembele after the World Cup.
The Belgian has just over a year left on his contract with the club and has put talks over a new deal on the back-burner until after the tournament in Russia. But Tottenham are supposedly bracing themselves for all eventualities.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the news has been met by quite a negative reaction on social media. Dembele is a class act who is so important to the balance of Spurs’ side, so losing him would be a huge blow to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad if they do not get his replacement right.

There has however, been some support for the idea of selling the cultured midfielder. Dembele is not exactly the most reliable option when it comes to his injury record, and this summer may be the last opportunity to get something like the kind of fee that a player of his quality should command.
It must be mentioned that it appears that there is a long way to go before Dembele looks exit-bound, but the general consensus certainly appears to be that Spurs would be putting themselves under an enormous amount of pressure if they allowed him to leave this summer.
Here is the best of the reaction…
