Mousa Dembele declares himself fit for Tottenham Hotspur’s visit of Juventus.
If there has been one better Tottenham Hotspur player than Harry Kane in 2018, surely it’s Mousa Dembele.
The Belgian powerhouse has been simply outstanding for Tottenham in recent months following barnstorming midfield displays against the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, and Juventus in the Champions League.
Spurs had been sweating over Dembele’s availability to replicate his heroics when Juve visit Wembley in tomorrow’s second leg in the last-16 phase.
The 30-year-old limped out of Tottenham’s win over Huddersfield at the weekend after being replaced by Moussa Sissoko, but the former Fulham star allayed fears over his fitness in an interview with The Telegraph.
He said: “I feel good, to be honest. I’ve played a lot of games, and automatically, if I play a lot of games, I feel fitter, much stronger, and good.”
And suffice to say that fans of the North London club are loving the prospect of seeing him in midfield again tomorrow night.
The Lilywhites might be okay without Dembele, given that Pochettino’s side are already ahead on away goals and favouries to progress, but having the Belgium international available clearly strengthens their hopes of reaching the last eight.
