Michel Vorm claimed after Tottenham’s loss to Man United that he deserved to start.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Michel Vorm claimed he deserved to start after Spurs were knocked out of the FA Cup at the semi-final stage by Manchester United on Saturday – and fans have ridiculed the back-up goalkeeper.
Vorm, 34, told the club’s official website that he deserved to start over captain Hugo Lloris, but he was at fault for United’s winner as Ander Herrera’s snapshot eluded the Dutchman to fire United to a 2-1 win.
The former Swansea City stopper could have played his last game for the club in the semi-final defeat, with his contract at the north London club set to expire in just over two months’ time.

Spurs already have a back-up goalkeeper to replace the 15-time Netherlands international after Mauricio Pochettino brought fellow Argentine Paulo Gazzanigga to the club from former side Southampton last summer.
All signs point towards a Tottenham exit, and fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to Vorm’s comments by stating that he is wrong to make such a claim – and they believe Lloris should have started in a match of such magnitude.
One fan described him as “a clown”.
