The up and coming January transfer window is going to be very important in how Tottenham Hotspur perform during the second half of the campaign.
Tottenham fans on Twitter were left annoyed at Mauricio Pochettino seemingly changing his mind about what will happen when the January transfer window re-opens.
Prior to Spurs’ home clash against Watford, Pochettino ruled out any signings in a couple of months time despite his team performing so poorly, as reported by The Guardian.
But after they produced yet another worrying display following their 1-1 draw against Watford, Pochettino was seemingly changing course in what he was saying.
The Argentine has now stated that the North London club ‘need to ready’ to do some business if need be, as reported by Sky Sports.
Spurs fans on social media don’t think their manager is very clear in his mind about what he wants as their season continues to produce poor performances.
The Tottenham faithful have urged Pochettino to make his mind up in whether the club will or will not dip their hands in their pockets when the window re-opens.
More than likely, it does seem as though Spurs need that fresh injection in their squad, and is something that the club would like to have.
Whether or not that happens remains to be seen, but the fact that the club did buy players in the summer should offer encouragement to disgruntled supporters.
Until then, Spurs fans can only watch on and hope that their current crop of star players get them back on track, both in the Premier League and the Champions League.
