Tottenham Hotspur’s Mauricio Pochettino raised eyebrows with post-match comments on Juan Foyth.

Quite a few Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter aren’t happy with manager Mauricio Pochettino for his comments about Juan Foyth.
Tottenham lost 4-2 to North London rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, despite being 2-1 ahead at half time.
The Gunners went ahead on 75 minutes through Alexandre Lacazette in a goal which stemmed from a defensive error by Foyth.
Pochettino, who played the 20-year-old instead of Toby Alderweireld, defended the young Argentine afterwards, telling The Independent that he felt as if he was ‘one of the best players on the pitch’ despite his second-half error.
And suffice to say that Spurs fans aren’t really buying that defence from Pochettino. Here is how some of them reacted on Twitter:
The Lilywhites boss was already in hot water with fans over snubbing a tried-and-tested defender such as Alderweireld for a player with three Premier League appearances under his belt, but this has exacerbated the problem it seems.
Not that any Tottenham fans think less of Pochettino as a manager, because he remains brilliant, but in retrospect it was certainly a big mistake by the former Southampton coach.
