The Tottenham Hotspur youngster was in scintillating form this week.

Shortly before Tottenham Hotspur took on Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday, Spurs’ next generation were enjoying a match of their own against the German club’s bright young things.
Just as Harry Kane et al defeated the Bundesliga giants, Tottenham’s under-19s overcame their opponents with a 4-0 victory.

Among the goal-scorers was 18-year-old midfielder Marcus Edwards, who opened the scoring from the penalty spot and ultimately completed his brace just over the hour-mark.
In between Keanan Bennetts and Kazaiah Sterling found the net to ensure Tottenham’s youngsters started the tournament in the best possible way, even if they will have cast a nervous look at Real Madrid’s 10-0 win against Apoel Nicosia in the same group.

Edwards is arguably the best young player Tottenham have produced in years and it is only a matter of time before he forces his way into Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team plans.
That said, competition is tough in the Spurs squad and these matches are exactly where Edwards needs to impress and stake a claim.
After the game we took to Twitter to see what Tottenham fans thought of Edwards’ latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
