The Tottenham Hotspur star has extended his current contract.
Lucas Moura has penned a one-year extension on his current contract with Tottenham – one that now runs until the summer of 2024, and some Spurs fans took to Twitter in reaction to the news.
His new deal was confirmed today via the club’s official website.
The Brazilian joined Tottenham from PSG in January 2018 for around £23 million, according to BBC Sport, and he has gone on to rack up 16 goals and six assists in 60 appearances for the north London outfit.
Moura hasn’t started games for Tottenham as regularly as he would have liked over the past 18 months, however, and he will be hoping for that to change this season.
He scored the all important winner in Spurs’s Champions League semi-final clash with Ajax last season, before being brutally dropped for the final against Liverpool.
The South American is certainly a fan favourite at Tottenham, and the club’s fans will surely want to see him start more regularly this term.
