Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter can’t wait to see the back of Christian Eriksen after a report suggested that Real Madrid are ready to offer him a pre-contract agreement in January.

The Mirror have claimed that the La Liga outfit want Eriksen to sign a pre-contract agreement before they can then make their move for Mauricio Pochettino.

It is said that Eriksen, who is in the final year of his Spurs contract, has rejected a £200k-a-week deal as he waits for Madrid to make their move.

Tottenham fans on Twitter are delighted to hear this news and they seemingly can’t wait to see their senior player leave, who has had a very poor start to the season.

That was proven on Tuesday night when Eriksen came off the bench and struggled to stop his side from getting knocked out of the EFL Cup by a League Two outfit.

Colchester ended up winning the game on penalties, with Eriksen seeing his spot-kick being saved by goalkeeper Dean Gerken.

That result, recent performances, and now the latest Madrid report has only made the Spurs fans’ minds up that they want to see the back of Eriksen.

Some fans are calling for him to be dropped altogether, or even pushed into the reserves because if he were to sign a pre-contract agreement in January then he wouldn’t be able to play for Madrid until next summer.
