Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Adrien Rabiot as his Paris Saint-Germain contract runs down.
A number of Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the reports emerging from the Daily Mirror earlier this week which have suggested that Spurs are eyeing a January move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
Rabiot’s future looks set to be one of the main talking points on the transfer front in European football for the coming months with his contract at Parc des Princes set to expire in the summer. The Mirror reported that he is refusing to pen fresh terms with PSG.
That has alerted a number of top clubs from across the continent, including Barcelona, Liverpool and Spurs. Tottenham’s interest will probably not come as a major surprise to many of the fans given that he is one player who appears to have regularly been linked with Spurs over the years.
But perhaps his contract situation makes it slightly easier to envisage Rabiot potentially making the move to join Mauricio Pochettino’s men. It is not entirely clear whether they are looking at a January bid or approach in the winter window that would see him arrive on a free in the summer.
The news that Rabiot is reportedly on Tottenham’s radar has delighted a large number of the supporters on social media. After such a disappointing summer, many feel that he is exactly what Spurs need as they look to keep building on their momentum from the past few years.
There are some who are either sceptical because of the previous rumours, or feel that he is not the player that the club should be looking at as a priority. But the majority are hoping that something develops from the links as they feel that he could be a fantastic signing for Spurs.
