Ex-Tottenham ace Kieran Trippier enjoyed a fine debut for Atletico Madrid.

Tottenham Hotspur sold Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid this summer, and he enjoyed a dream La Liga debut on Sunday.
Spurs saw Trippier struggle last season, which was all the more frustrating given that he was so impressive for England at the World Cup in Russia.
Tottenham eventually decided to sell the 28-year-old, securing a deal to offload the right back to Atletico Madrid as a replacement for Juanfran.
Trippier had big boots to fill by making that move, but he made an ideal start as Atletico beat Getafe 1-0 to kick off their La Liga campaign on Sunday night.
Trippier whipped in an inch-perfect cross for ex-Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata to score, heading home the winner after just 23 minutes of Trippier’s La Liga debut.
Spurs failed to really replace Trippier over the summer, and are hoping that Kyle Walker-Peters can step up, but Trippier gave a reminder of his crossing ability – even if his defensive work remains patchy at best.

Spurs fans have been taking to Twitter to react to Trippier’s display, with some admitting that they want him back at Spurs, and feel fans were too harsh on him last season as he looked ‘quality’ for Atletico.
Others have a bad feeling that Spurs will regret selling Trippier having failed to truly replace him, believing he will now be back to his best in the Spanish capital.
