Tottenham Hotspur fans haven’t reacted well to inflammatory comments from Kieran Trippier.
The England right-back left Spurs this month to join Atletico Madrid after four years in North London.
Last season was particularly difficult for the former Tottenham defender as Trippier struggled to bring his World Cup form to domestic duties.
The former Burnley defender made headlines today when he alluded to some ‘behind-the-scenes’ incidents which led to him wanting to leave the Champions League runners-up [Sky Sports].

Whatever issues he is hinting at, the reality is that the 28-year-old was very ordinary last season and Mauricio Pochettino’s side will hope to improve on the back of selling him.
The Lilywhites improved after selling Kyle Walker to Manchester City, so there is nothing to stop them from kicking on despite losing Trippier, arguably an inferior player to Walker.
