Tottenham Hotspur are linked with an £8 million move for the Dutchman.

According to The Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Ajax defender Joel Veltman.
The 25-year-old could join Spurs for as little as £8 million due to the fact that there is only one year to go on his existing contract with the Eredivisie giants.

The Netherlands international, who has 16 caps for his country, can operate in a right-back or centre-half role.
And Spurs fans, for the most part, are delighted at the prospect of seeing him join their club this summer.

It would be an absolute bargain for the Lilywhites, should the transfer materialise – and the speculation comes at a good time.
First-choice right-back Kyle Walker has been linked with a £60 million move to Man City (The Mirror), while it remains to be seen if centre-back Kevin Wimmer will be there next term after a frustrating second season in North London.
Walker, who joined from Sheffield United in 2009, is contracted to the North London club until 2021.
