Spurs face Barcelona on Wednesday evening in the Champions League.

Hugo Lloris is set to start Wednesday night’s clash against Barcelona in the Champions League – but some Tottenham Hotspur fans wanted Paulo Gazzaniga to retain his starting spot.
Mauricio Pochettino confirmed in his press conference that 31-year-old club captain Lloris has finally overcome a thigh injury he picked up against Manchester United during the 3-0 win – with Michel Vorm immediately deputising.
Questionable performances from the Dutchman against Watford, Inter Milan and Liverpool saw Mauricio Pochettino hand Argentine goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga to show what he is capable of between the sticks. Vorm also suffered an injury.
Spurs have since beaten Brighton and Huddersfield in the Premier League, as well as knocking Watford out of the Carabao Cup on penalties in which Gazzaniga saved two of Watford’s four penalties.

104-time France international Lloris is clearly the more experienced, but thrusting him back into first-team football against Barcelona could be risky while the momentum is with Gazzaniga.
Spurs fans reacted to the news that Lloris will start the Champions League clash against Barcelona by attempting to persuade Pochettino into picking Gazzaniga instead.
