Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea went head-to-head this weekend with the Blues coming out on top.
Tottenham Hotspur saw their FA Cup campaign end on Saturday as they lost 4-2 to league leaders Chelsea.
Spurs went into the encounter with plenty of confidence after impressing domestically and cutting the gap at the top of the Premier League table to just four points. But the famous old cup will not be heading to White Hart Lane this year.
Two goals from Willian and one apiece from Eden Hazard and Nemanja Matic sealed the win, rendering customary strikes from Harry Kane and Dele Alli as mere consolations.
With time running out Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino sent on summer signing Georges-Kevin N’Koudou in a bid to change things up, and while the young winger did his best, he was unable to make a significant mark on the score-line.
N’Koudou has rarely been used this season, much to the frustration of those Spurs supporters who feel he would offer some much needed flare down the flanks.
