Some Tottenham Hotpsur fans on Twitter reckon that Fernando Llorente is close to leaving the club.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino omitted the Spanish striker from his matchday squad for this afternoon’s visit of Fulham in the Premier League.

The Tottenham forward, who only joined from Swansea City last summer, has been linked with a move away from North London recently.

On Friday, Info Mercato reported that the Lilywhites offered the 32-year-old to Ligue 1 outfit Bordeaux.

It remains to be seen where he ends up but quite a few Tottenham fans on Twitter don’t believe he has much of a future under Pochettino any longer.

Selling or loaning out Llorente would be a massive risk. Okay he isn’t anywhere near good enough for Tottenham, evident by the fact that he scored once in the Premier League last season.

But Vincent Janssen is reportedly out injured until Christmas [The Sun] and therefore Harry Kane would be Pochettino’s only recognised number nine.
