Didier Deschamps baffled Tottenham Hotspur fans on Wednesday with comments about Moussa Sissoko.

Moussa Sissoko could score a hat-trick of own goals on his next outing for Tottenham Hotspur and it probably wouldn’t make him any less of a flop.

The French winger has failed to justify his £30 million move to Tottenham in the summer of 2016 which, at the time, represented quite a lot of money.

Sissoko, who joined from Newcastle United, has scored twice in some 70 appearances in all competitions for the Lilywhites and suffice to say that supporters are probably tired of waiting for him to deliver.

He’s got that the wrong way round, Sissoko is actually very well liked by opponents and feared by his team-mates.

Sissoko is obviously talented, but it looks like a huge ask to salvage his long-term Spurs career at this point.

That being said, Sissoko, as he proved at the European Championships, is a huge asset when he is motivated, so it wouldn’t be a big surprise to see him rip up the World Cup for France this summer if he goes to Russia.
