Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want to sign the Ajax ace.

According to a report from Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, Tottenham will attempt to hijack Everton’s alleged interest in Ajax ace David Neres by lodging a €60 million (£54 million) bid for the Brazilian winger, and some Spurs fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.
The 22-year-old was in fine form for the Dutch outfit last season, racking up an impressive 12 goals and 15 assists in 50 appearances in all competitions, and he would surely be a welcome addition at Spurs.
Tottenham currently have Heung-Min Son, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen who can all play out wide, but Neres would provide Mauricio Pochettino with another, and quite different, option.
£54 million sounds like a lot of money, but for a player with the South American’s talent and potential, it would actually represent decent value for the north London outfit.

Is he the type of player that the Lilywhites need, however?
Some Tottenham fans took to Twitter today, and delivered their verdicts on Neres potentially moving to north London from the Amsterdam Arena…
