The Tottenham Hotspur left-back has been heavily linked with an exit from the club this summer.

According to a report from the Sun, Tottenham are trying to offload Danny Rose for around £35 million this summer, and some Spurs fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

The 28-year-old has been with Tottenham since 2007 after he moved to White Hart Lane from Leeds United, and he has established himself as a firm fan favourite, making 198 appearances in all competitions in the process.

Rose will turn 29 next month, however, and he made comments recently suggesting that he could very likely leave Spurs this summer, as quoted by the Sun:

“I know my age and I know how the club’s run in terms of if you get to a certain age they might look to ship you on. It has been no secret that my name has been mentioned quite a few times in terms of players moving on and I’ll be just sitting tight over the next few weeks and just seeing what happens. Either way I’m prepared for whatever happens.”

Danny Rose of Tottenham Hotspur poses with manager Mauricio Pochettino as he signs a new contract on September 6, 2016 in Enfield, England.

The Tottenham left-back is undoubtedly better than Ben Davies, however, so there will surely be plenty of Tottenham fans who would be bemused to say the least, if the England international is moved on this summer.

Rose has been a great servant for Spurs, and losing him would definitely weaken Mauricio Pochettino’s side next season.
