The Juventus defender has been linked with a surprise summer move to Tottenham Hotspur.

According to a recent report from Yahoo Sports, Tottenham Hotspur have opened talks with Dani Alves about a potential summer move, and it has certainly got supporters talking.
Some, understandably, have immediately dismissed the report as rubbish, in no small part due to the player’s age and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy’s focus on young players with significant sell-on value.
That is something Alves does not have. But what he does possess is experience in abundance and considering the age of Tottenham’s current squad, a player of the Brazilian’s stature could be exactly what they need to reach the next level.
Spurs were Chelsea’s closest challengers for the Premier League title this season but they still fell well short and the teams around them are only going to strengthen again this summer.

Signing Alves, who has 100 caps for Brazil and recently had a major role in three of the goals that helped Juventus to the Champions League final, would certainly make a statement, even if he is 34.
