Tottenham Hotspur got off to the best possible start after the latest international break with a 4-0 victory against Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs were a class apart, with Harry Kane scoring his first goal of the campaign, Heung-Min Son netting a brace and Dele Alli also finding the net, while Danish international Christian Eriksen was superb throughout, regularly laying on chances for his teammates.

As a result of the hammering, one Tottenham player could be overlooked in the form of left-back Ben Davies, who stepped in for the injured Danny Rose for his first appearance of the season.

The Welsh international has had to make do with playing second fiddle this season despite excelling for his country at Euro 2016, but on Saturday’s evidence he could give Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino a selection headache when Rose is fit and available again.
